Balochistan nurses observe 'black day'

The nurses of All Balochistan Nursing Federation Balochistan chapter on Saturday observed black day and took out rally to protest what they said torture on nurses by police and traders in Lahore. A large number of nurses took out rally from College of Nursing Sandeman Civil Hospital Quetta. They had worn black armband and raised slogans against Lahore police and traders.
They demanded action against police personnel and traders who allegedly tortured nurses. They also demanded enhancement in their salaries. On this occasion, talking to APP, Riaz Louise, President Nursing Federation Sandeman Civil Hospital Quetta said that nurses are backbone in health sector and they have been serving masses like that of the army and police. He demanded release of professional allowance, high risk allowance, higher education allowance, uniform allowance and others for nurses keeping in view sky rocketing prices.
