Taiwan's Acer Inc , the world's No 4 PC vendor by sales, sees China sales growth of between 20-25 percent next year boosted by its integration with Founder Technology and higher brand acceptance, said the firm's China operation president.
"The integration with Founder went successfully and we dramatically increased our stake in the notebook business in China," Oliver Ahrens said in an interview with Reuters on November 21. Last year, Acer announced a strategic alliance with Founder Technology to beef up its presence on the mainland, including paying $67.5 million for use of Founder's PC-related trademarks for seven years.
Ahrens said sustained marketing and branding campaigns in China over the past two years also helped boost brand recognition.
