Three killed in various incidents in Karachi

Three people including a civilian employee of Pakistan Navy were killed in separate incidents in different areas of the metropolis here on Monday. According to police, two youth were shot dead in Korangi in the limits of Zaman Town police station.
The incident took place in Korangi No 5 1/2, G Area, where Abdul Majid Alvi, 37, son of Abdul Rasheed, was shot by unidentified armed men when he resisted their bid to snatch his Pickup vehicle (CL-8924). Resultantly, Abdul Majid received single bullet on his head and died on the spot.
They said that a passer-by namely Amir, 34, son of Abdul Rehman, also fell prey to the gunshots of the car-lifters. Police shifted the bodies to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. SHO Zaman Town Hatim Marwat said both the victims were residents of the same area where the incident took place and added that the victim Abdul Majid was working as transporter of a school, while Amir was a painter. He said that both the victims had no affiliations with any political or religious party, adding that they were killed by the bandits.
Later police handed over the bodies to the heirs. Police registered a case, 615/11, against the unidentified armed men on the complaints of Abdul Rasheed and initiated probe. A bullet-riddled body of a civilian employee of Pakistan Navy was found at Qasim Shah road in the limits of Jackson police station. Police said they found a body near Qasim Shah Road, which was later identified as Khan Mohammad, 45, son of Noor Mohammad, a resident of Tashqand Mohalla Macchar Colony, Keamari.
They said the victim, who received a single bullet on his right eye, had several torture marks on his body. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities. SHO Jackson Abdullah Ghomro said the victim, who was civilian employee of Pakistan Navy, was the father of seven and hailed from Swabi. He suspected that the victim might have been murdered over personal enmity. He said that a case was registered on the complaint of victim's brother Lal Mohammad.
