Federal Minister and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Farzana Raja called on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Monday and briefed him on Waseela-e-Taleem, Waseela-e-Rozgar and Life Insurance initiatives of BISP. The Prime Minister instructed Chairperson BISP to extend the sphere of BISP and also directed to make Multan a model district of BISP for Waseela-e-Taleem, Waseela-e-Rozgar and Life Insurance initiatives.
Farzana Raja informed the Prime Minister that around 10 million children of the BISP beneficiary families, aged between 6 to 12 years will get free quality education under Waseela-e-Taleem initiative of BISP whereby in the first phase of this initiative, one million non-school going children will be sent to schools.-PR
