Profit after tax of Atlas Honda increases

The profit after tax of Atlas Honda Limited has increased to Rs 577.764 million in the half year period ended September 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 431.508 million in the corresponding period in 2010. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Monday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 8.03 in the period under review against Rs 6.00 in the same period last year.
According to the financial result sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's sales increased to Rs 19.435 billion in the half year period this year against Rs 15.457 billion in the same period last year. The cost of sales increased to Rs 18.073 billion against Rs 14.317 billion.
The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 813.139 million in the half-year period this year against Rs 641.923 million in the same period last year. On quarterly basis, the company's profit after tax increased to Rs 277.088 million translating earning per share of Rs 3.85 in the quarter ended September 30, 2011 as compared to after tax profit of Rs 206.682 million with per share earning of Rs 2.87 in the same quarter last year.
