Security steps taken to maintain law, order at any cost

Commissioner, Syed Tahir Hussain, has said that there would be a high alert in all the 4 districts of Faisalabad Division during Muharram-ul-Haram and added that stringent security measures have been taken to maintain law and order at any cost.
He was addressing a hurriedly called news-conference here Tuesday, along with A.C Mehr Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq, CPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana and Director Public Relations, Abid Kamalvi at local Circuit House. He said that an Army Brigade has also been posted at Faisalabad to help the civil administration for maintenance of peace during Muharram.
Commissioner further said that the Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, has constituted a Committee, under Chairmanship of Punjab Minister for Law, Rana Sana Ullah to play a pivotal role for maintenance of Peace and tranquillity during Muharram-ul-Harram. He said that the security in all the four districts of Faisalabad Division has been made "fool-proof" and the law enforcing agencies would focus their special attention in the most sensitive areas of the division.
Syed Tahir Hussain said that the provision of generators and UPS has also been made in case of any loadshedding and emergency wards have been activated in all government run hospitals in the division. He called upon the media men to help the administration in maintaining law and order in the division during Muharram. He urged the media to get verification from the competent authorities before sending any alarming news item.
CPO, Bilal Siddique Kamyana said that there would be 1493 Majalis and as much as 426 processions would be taken out during Muharram-ul-Haram and added that 7,550 police constables,883 Head constables,1493 ASI,372 Sub Inspector,197 Inspectors and 30 General Officers have been posted to perform duty during Muharram.He said that in addition to Police Force, the Jawans of Elite Force, Punjab Constabulary and Qaumi Razakars would also perform duty during Muharram.
