High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Suhrab Hossain visited Punjab University and called on its Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran in his office, here on Tuesday. Welcoming the High Commissioner, Dr Kamran briefed him about the university's infrastructure, departments, students and ongoing academic and research programmes. Suhrab Hossain said he felt immense pleasure to visit the oldest seat of higher learning of Pakistan.
He appreciated the efforts of varsity administration in providing quality educational and research facilities to its graduates. He also visited the main library where Chief Librarian, Chaudhry Muhammad Hanif briefed him about various sections of library. Suhrab appreciated the management of library in preserving rare and manuscripts in a well-deserved manner. Qazi Humayun Fareed accompanied the HC during the visit. Principal Oriental College, Professor Dr Mazhar Moeen, Director External Linkages Maria Maldonado and RO-I Javed Sami were also present on the occasion.
