Season's lowest temperature -8C recorded in Skardu

Temperature in Skardu dipped to minus 8 degree centigrade, lowest of the season, during the last 24 hours, the Met Office said on Tuesday. "A shallow trough of westerly wave still prevailing over northern area," the office said. It said that mainly dry weather was expected in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. However, light rain may occur along Sindh-Makhran coast, besides misty conditions in plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in morning hours.
The weather in Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy with chances of light rain in the evening and night while maximum temperature is likely to range between 31 degree centigrade and 33 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours, the forecaster said.
