Sunni Tehrik organises protest demonstration against Nato attack

Sunni Tehrik (ST) on Thursday demanded that the Nato's military personnel involved in the air strikes on Pakistan Army's check-posts in Mohmand Agency should be tried in Pakistan. The ST staged a protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club against the Nato's strike inside Pakistan that killed 24 Pakistan Army soldiers.
The angry protestors were holding placards and banners inscribed with anti-US and Nato slogans. They were chanting slogans in favour of Pakistan and Pak Army and against US President Obama, and Nato. ST Chief Sarwat Ijaz Qadri was carrying a portrait of Obama festooned with shoes. They were changing slogan like "dawn with the US and Nato."
Qadri also set the US flag and effigies of President Obama and Hilary Clinton on fire. Addressing the protestors Qadri urged the government to take a strong action against the Nato forces. He said former military dictator General Pervez Musharraf (Retd) should also be tried for handing over Shamsi and Shahbaz bases to the US. He offered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan to form a political alliance against the present government to protect the national interests.
