LCCI delegation, Haryana: chief minister discuss bilateral trade

A 100-member LCCI delegation, led by its President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, held meeting with the Chief Minister Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday and discussed the issues coming in the way of bilateral trade and handed over a set of proposals to expedite the volume of trade. According to LCCI spokesman, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh inaugurated Punjab International Trade Exhibition (PITEX-2011) on the very next of day of the delegation's arrival in India.
Moreover, the delegation also had a working dinner at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and one-to-one meetings with the Indian businessmen. For the first time, the LCCI delegation was given chief minister's protocol, he said. The delegation is scheduled to hold a meeting on Monday with the office bearers of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry office-bearers and Executive Committee for a threadbare discussion on Non-Tariff Barriers.
The FICCI would be informed about sentiments of the Pakistani businessmen regarding the MFN status to India. The spokesman further said the delegation would also meet Indian counterparts in Punjab Haryana Delhi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and discuss the issues hitting the two-way trade so that a methodology could be prepared to overcome the problems.
