Government launches plan to raise fish production in dam

The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has kicked off a plan to raise the production of fish in Mangla dam at least four thousand metric ton annually, said Honorary Game Warden of Fisheries and Wild Life department AJK Ramzan Dutt Advocate. Talking to mediamen here on Saturday, he launched the fish breed in Mangla dam formally inaugurating the drive for fish breeding in the huge reservoir of the country.
Dutt said the AJK government has already chalked out an integrated plan to meet the local demand of fish in AJK. The fish will be provide local consumers at an inexpensive rates, he added. He said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us to safeguard the natural resources.
