Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar said on Monday that Youm-e-Aushura demands us as a nation to resolve to work with wisdom and farsightedness in order to stabilise the country, which is not only in the best interests of the country but also a best way to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala. He, in his message on the eve of Youm-e-Ashura further said that Ashura carries comprehensive and thought-provoking messages for humanity.
This sagacious and sacred event of the Islamic history depicts a unique example of selfless spirit and sacrifice for the supremacy of righteousness and truthfulness, as demonstrated by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions. The event of Karabla gives the lesson of patience, tolerance and steadfastness in the hour of trial. This unique event has in fact remained a source of guidance for the forces of righteousness engaged in fighting the forces of evil.
The circumstances confronting us as a nation demand us to exhibit the spirit of steadfastness and commitment. The sacred occasion of Ashura requires us to be fully conscious of ground realities and continue struggle till the achievement of the desired goals of a stable and fully secured future not only for ourselves but also for the coming generations.
