The participants of 13th National Security Workshop at National Defence University, Islamabad including senators, MNAs, MPAs, bureaucrats, technocrats, ambassadors and senior armed forces officers under the leadership of Major General Ziauddin Najam visited Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), Wah Cantt on Thursday.
Chairman POF Board Lieutenant General Muhammad Ahsan Mahmood HI (M), while briefing the delegation about the capabilities of POF, said that POF is a vital defence installation of Pakistan and mandated to meet the defence requirements of Pakistan in war and peace.
POF has an established record of meeting these requirements. POF motto is Force Behind the Forces. POF has met the enhanced demand of Pakistan Army despite many challenges. Later Syed Naseem Raza, Technical Advisor to Chairman POF Board gave detailed briefing about POF, its development projects, welfare activities, educational and medical facilities being provided to POF employees and problems being faced by POF administration. The participants were taken around some selected production units where they took keen interest in the manufacturing process of POF products. They praised the high standard of POF products.-PR
