Temperature falls to -8 oC in Qalat

Temperature in Qalat, Balochistan fell to minus 8 degree centigrade, the lowest of the season, in the last 24 hours, the met office said on Thursday. It says shallow fog/mist was expected to prevail in some areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sukkur divisions in the early morning hours.
Isolated rain/thunderstorm may occur in Gilgit-Baltistan/Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas, it said, adding that mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. "A shallow westerly wave is affecting northern areas and likely to persist for next 24 hours," it said.
Isolated rain occurred in Malakand and Hazara divisions and Kashmir. Temperature of Rawalakot and Garidupatta was recorded 3 degree centigrade each in the last 24 hours. Karachi's weather is expected to remain dry with maximum temperature between 28 to 30 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours.
