Zardari to complete his tenure in office: Shujaat

Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussein Thursday said that Asif Ali Zardari is elected President and he would complete his tenure in office. "President Asif Ali Zardari was elected for five-year term," he said this while responding to queries of media men after enquiring after the health of Islamic scholar, Maulana Abdul Wahab at a local hospital on Thursday.
Chaudhry Shafaay Hussein, Rasigh Elahi and Hafiz Amar Yasir accompanied the PML-Q President. Shujaat further said that President Asif Ali Zardari is unwell and prayed for his early recovery. When asked about memogate scandal, Shujaat said: "A person (Mansoor Ijaz) sitting abroad is committing fraud and trying to hoodwink the people". He said that whole nation is united and should not be disappointed under any circumstances.
Answering a question, he said that his party is a big political party and none of the important party member is quitting the PML-Q. However, he said the members of Like-Minded group are approaching to other parties in disappointment. He said that all parties would contest the elections separately. To another question, he said N-League had not invited the PML-Q for negotiations. If any such offer is received we would reply after taking media into confidence, he added.
Earlier, Shujaat enquired after the health of Maulana Abdul Wahab and prayed for his early recovery. He said that Maulana Abdul Wahab is playing vital role in promoting the Islamic values and practices among the people of all segment of the society. He made an appeal to Muslim Ummah to pray for early recovery of Maulana.
