Fata Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer urges people to attend protest rally on December 18

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) FATA, Haroon Rashid has urged the masses to attend party's protest rally scheduled for December 18 against the corrupt rulers. Speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Friday, he said his party's "Go America Go" campaign has intensified in the province.
The country was passing through a difficult time because of present rulers' US appeasement policies, he said, adding that the country's sovereignty was at stake in prevailing chaos and uncertain situation. Accompanied by Secretary General, Dr Munsaf Khan, and Ameer Khyber Agency, Shah Faisal Afridi, he said the situation was much alarming after Nato attacks on military checkposts. He observed the unprovoked Nato strikes had hurt the sentiments of 170 million people. He demanded of the government to shun US-appeasement policy and revisit alliance with the Nato forces.
'A large number of tribal people had become homeless because of ongoing military operations," he said, adding that business, trade and education activities had completely shut in tribal areas due to prevailing situation. Rashid said US troops were now using cheap tricks by targeting security forces and innocent civilians. He urged the government to immediately withdraw from the alliance. The JI Ameer FATA declared the rulers responsible for present chaos and uncertain situation in the country. Lawlessness, inflation, corruption and injustice were at peak in the country, he said adding that the country needed honest leadership, he added.
