LCWU employees stage demonstration

Employees of Lahore College of Women University (LCWU) staged demonstration protest at Shadman Chowk on Monday in favour of their demands. The protest was staged by All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) LCWU Unit. They blocked Jail Road for more then an hour. The protesters were carrying placards and were chanting slogans against current Vice Chancellor Dr Sabiha Mansoor and former VC Dr Bushra Mateen for not fulfilling their demands.
While talking to media President of the union Nisar Ahmed said that they were staging a protest for the fulfilment of their demands of group insurance for employees, establishing GP fund, job quota for the children of employees in university, reserved seats for the education of children of employees, house requisition, and technical allowances should be given to employees. He also announced union will observe complete strike tomorrow and they will hold demonstration inside the premises of the university.
The leaders of the union while talking to media alleged that current VC has appointed her relatives on these important seats to facilitate them. Later, Vice Chancellor LCWU Dr Sabiha Mansoor also holds the press conference in which she termed the allegations as base less.
