The retired employees have not been paid their pensions for the last three months. Chairman Sajjan Union KMC (CBA) Syed Zulfikar Shah said that it was unfortunate that KMC workers had not yet been paid the salaries of November, causing indignation among them.
He said 50 percent cut by Sindh Government on the fund for salaries of CDGK workers under the head of Octroi Zila Tax (OZT) due to floods was causing inordinate delay in payment of salaries. He said delayed payment of salaries to KMC employees has become a routine. Sources said KDA workers and retied employees were also planning to stage protest demonstration against non-payment of salaries and pensions for the last two months. Sources said bureaucratic hurdles were causing delay in realise of salaries on time as Sindh government officials were paying less heed to the grievances of employees.
