Cold wave likely to persist

Upper and western parts of the country will remain in the grip of cold wave in the next 24 hours, the met office said on Tuesday. "Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Upper and western parts of the country would remain under the grip of severe cold wave," it said.
Temperature in Skardu reduced to -11 degree centigrade in the last 24 hours, it said, adding that weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. Karachi's weather is expected to remain dry with maximum temperature between 28 degree centigrade and 30 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours.
