Seventh International Book Fair from tomorrow

Pakistan Publishers and Book Sellers Association will be holding the 7th Karachi International Book Fair from Friday, 16th December at the Karachi Expo Centre. Sindh Education Minister Peer Mazharul Haq will formally inaugurate the exhibition on 17th. However, the fair will remain open for general public from 16th of December.
Speaking at a news conference here at a local hotel on Wednesday, Pakistan Publishers and Book Sellers Association Chairman Aziz Khalid said that the book fair will continue till 20th of December. He said publishers from America, India, Iran, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey and England will participate in the exhibition. He added that National Book Foundation and the Ministry of Education were supporting the event.
Pakistan Library Association Chairman Professor Malahat Kareem Sherwani was also present on the occasion. Convenor Book Fair, Owais Mirza Jameel said that the fair will be held at the Expo Centre's Hall No 1, 2 and 3 where approximately 290 stalls will be set up.
He informed that the exhibition would be Pakistan's biggest event where 160 international and national publishers and distributors will gather to exhibit books covering all most all subjects at a low cost. The exhibition timings will be 10 am to 9 pm. Nadeem Mazhar, Salem Hussain, Muhammad Iqbal Ghaziani, Waqar Matin Khan, Ahsan Jafri, Nadeem Akhter, Syed Nasir Husain, Kamran Noorani and former convenor lqbal Saleh Mohammad also attended the press conference.
