Two bandits arrested in an encounter

At least two alleged bandits were arrested while a constable sustained bullet wound in an encounter occurred in the limits of Mobina Town police on Wednesday. According to police, the encounter took place at Block-4 Gulshan Iqbal where five alleged bandits barged into a bungalow for looting purpose. Meanwhile, the police party reached the spot on the information of 15 rescue.
Reacting to the arrival of police, the alleged bandits opened indiscriminate firing on police and tried to flee from the scene. Resultantly, one constable namely Sajjad sustained bullet wounds and shifted to nearby hospital for treatment. On retaliation, the Mobina town police have arrested two bandits namely Ahmad Shah and Naseeruddin and recovered one Kalashnikov, 2 TT pistols, one 9MM pistol and several police uniform from their possession.
SHO Salim Shah said the alleged bandits used to wear police uniform to deceive the citizens and enter in the houses for looting purpose. He said the detained Ahmad Shah, who was also alleged in the murder of police constable Zahir Shah, confessed to have involved in several heinous crimes. He said that three accomplices managed to escape under the cover of heavy gunshots and added that investigation was underway to nab the other accomplices. No case was registered till filing of this report.
