Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) said that housing and construction industry has convinced the Governor, Chief Minister and Minister Local Government Sindh that Housing and Construction Industry is not service provider and as such does not come under the newly legislated Sales Tax Act.
According to the statement issued here on Wednesday, Chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani, Vice Chairman Arif Siddik and Chairman Southern Region Saleem Kassim Patel said the economic conditions had just shown some positive signs and housing industry responded with announcement of more than twenty projects after Eid. But the receipt of around thirty notices for payment of Sales Tax has dampened the spirit of investors.-PR
