'20th amendment needed for granting more rights to minorities'

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar said that the 20th constitutional amendment is needed for granting more rights to minorities and financial autonomy to the provinces. He was addressing at the "Christmas cake cutting ceremony" organised by Bright Future Society here on Thursday.
He said that currently country facing various challenges and it is the need of time to all political and religious parties of country should play their effective role for betterment of the state. Farooq said that feudalism and capitalism are the big challenges in the country and it is the responsibility of the public to block the way of feudalism for the Parliament.
The Minister said the speech of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on August 11, 1947 would be included in the new amendment about the right of minorities. Chairman Christian Concern UK, Cannon Yaqub Masih urged on the interfaith harmony and appreciated the efforts of government for the welfare of the minorities.
