US authorities said Friday they have apprehended a fugitive French graffiti artist known as "Rask" for allegedly tagging trains in Boston, before trying to catch a flight home. Maxime Bezat, 25, was caught at Newark airport in New Jersey on December 3 while about to fly to Paris, where he is also sought for spray paint vandalism.
He was then brought back to Massachusetts, where he was arraigned Thursday, said Cara O'Brien, spokeswoman for the Middlesex County District Attorney's office. He pleaded not guilty. "He was ordered held on $10,000 bail as a fugitive from justice charge and no bail on vandalism. Bezat will appear in court again on December 22," she said. Bezat is also accused of leaving his graffiti tags, Raske and Sekel, in New York.
