Five burnt alive in gas cylinder explosion

Five passengers, including a woman and a child were burnt alive, while 15 injured and the condition of the seven reported to be serious when Sheikhupura-bound wagon caught fire due to leakage of gas from a cylinder near Khurrian-wala about 25km from here on Sunday.
Police and Rescue 1122 completed rescue operation and confirmed five deaths in this mishap, while eight injured persons shifted to Allied Hospital in serious condition. According to the police, a passenger wagon LD-3434 was going to Sheikhupura from Faisalabad, when it reached near Khurrianwala, the wagon caught fire suddenly due to leakage of gas from a cylinder, and however, both cylinders were not burst. One injured passenger reported that the fire was griped because some passengers were smoking cigarettes. Four passengers died on the spot, while one expired on way to hospital. Eight injured shifted to Allied hospital in serious condition.
