'PPP leadership committed to cause of democracy'

MNAs, Chaudhry Zahid Iqbal, Asghar Ali Jatt, Dr Mehreen Razaque Bhutto and Nadeem Afzal Chan called on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday and apprised the Prime Minister about the status of different development schemes initiated by the government.
The MNAs said that democracy and stability of Pakistan are intertwined. They said that the PPP leadership and its lawmakers are committed for the cause of democracy in consonance with the vision of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. Chaudhry Zahid Iqbal, MNA, apprised the Prime Minister that the Cheechawatni bypass completed by the present government is the great source of convenience for the people.
The Prime Minister directed to expedite the releases of funds for the schemes in Cheechawatni. Dr Mehreen Razaque Bhutto, MNA, informed the Prime Minster that majority of the projects initiated by the government have been completed in her area. She apprised the Prime Minister about her proposed center for consultancy for the parents regarding their awareness of different diseases. The Prime Minister appreciated Dr Mehreen Razaque Bhutto for her interest in creating awareness among the masses regarding dangerous diseases and their prevention.
Nadeem Afzal Chan, MNA, apprised the Prime Minister about the status of ongoing development projects in his constituency. Asghar Ali Jatt, MNA presented different development schemes regarding the widening of roads, water supply and electrification in his area. The Prime Minister directed to expedite release of funds for the Bhurewala Press Club.-PR
