Pro-US rulers, policies: 'Jamaat-e-Islami sit-in on 25th to be a referendum'

20 Dec, 2011

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch has said that the JI sit-in in the city on December 25 would be a referendum against the US and the anti people policies of the rulers besides being a ray of hope for the country.
He was addressing the office bearers of JI and its sister organisations that have been entrusted the arrangements for the grand rally scheduled for 25th. Baloch said that the country is facing a critical situation but the rulers are not taking it seriously. However, he added, the nation stands united for the country's defence and national solidarity.
He said the US has been defeated in Afghanistan where it had massacred millions of innocent Afghans. Now it is trying to find a way out and also wants to avenge its defeat from this country. He said that under strong public pressure, the political and military leadership had taken a bold decision of stopping Nato supplies and taking back Shamsi Airbase from the US control. However, he added, if the rulers displayed cowardice in any manner, the masses would 'throw them out'.
