The Lahore High Court here on Tuesday adjourned to January 16 the hearing of a petition seeking disqualification of Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa for his alleged involvement in political activities and misuse of government's funds as deputy attorney general failed to appear before the Court.
On previous hearing the Court had sought assistant of advocate general Punjab and a deputy attorney general to decide maintainability of the petition. The petitioner Advocate Afaq Ahmad alleged in the petition that the respondent governor was violating his constitutional limits and had been frequently witnessed indulging in political activities. Petitioner, therefore, prayed to the Court to take notice of the illegal acts on part of the governor and declare him ineligible to hold the office.
