Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a date with some of the biggest Bollywood stars at an exclusive ‘Shalom Bollywood' evening on Thursday, a day after he arrived in Mumbai.
In his address, Netanyahu spoke about Big B and Bollywood and said, “I learnt that Bachchan has a larger fan following than me on social media. You guys are a big deal. The world loves Bollywood,” Indian media reported.
While addressing the audience at the event, Bachchan said, “The Indian film industry is more than a hundred years old and is flourishing and doing extremely well. India produces more than a 1,500 films every year, which is four times what Hollywood produces and twice as much as comes out of China”.
Other Bollywood personalities, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar, Subhash Ghai, Imtiaz Ali, Ronnie Screwvala, Sara Ali Khan and Vivek Oberoi, also graced the event and clicked a selfie with the Israeli prime minister and his wife.
