Safar moon may be sighted tomorrow

The new Safar moon may be sighted tomorrow (Sunday), according to astronomical parameters. Therefore, the first of Safar, 1433 AH should fall on Monday. The moon will cross the conjunction line today (Saturday) at 2306 Pakistan Standard Time (PST). The sunset tomorrow will be at 1750 PST, and the evening civil twilight (ECTL) will be at 1815 PST.
The moon will set at 1837 PST. Thus the age of the new moon will be 19 hours and nine minutes at ECTL. It will set 47 minutes after sunset and 22 minutes after ECTL. At ECTL the moon will be at an altitude of three degrees and 41 minutes. It will be at an azimuth of 245 degrees and 22 minutes. At sunset the moon will be at an altitude of eight degrees and 28 minutes. It will be at an azimuth of 242 degrees and 30 minutes. Cool weather has been forecast.
