24 Dec, 2011

The government of Sindh has initiated a fast track scheme of installation of 40 units of Reverse Osmosis Plants with daily production capacity of 16 million liters in 12 flood affected districts in order to ensure the provision of purified water to the people as water supply/filtration system in these areas were damaged due to rain water and by having this facility people are satisfied and no major cases of water borne diseases or shortage of water has been observed in flood affected areas.
It has been observed that lot of demands of cluster water schemes based on modern water treatment as centralised hub have been raised in rural areas specially in the villages where source of water is highly contaminated with nitrogen, arsenic and other harmful chemicals.-PR
