Jamaat-i-Islami to stage sit-in today

Jamaat-e-Islami Chief, Syed Munawar Hasan has appealed to the people of Lahore to join JI sit-in in the city at Ferozepur Road, Ichrra More on Sunday (today). The JI chief expressed the hope that the sit-in would change the political scenario in the country. All those who wanted to get rid of corrupt and incompetent rulers would definitely attend the sit-in, he said.
He said, the JI has launched a campaign against the US interference in the country for eliminating corruption. The JI wanted to eliminate politics of hypocrisy and hatred besides price hike, unemployment and other socio-economic problems, which have made the lives of the people miserable. Secretary General JI, Liaqat Baloch, in his addresses at corner meetings in different parts of the city said the JI's sit-in would be the biggest show of the patriotic Lahorites who would join to demonstrate their hatred for the present rulers who had sold out the country's sovereignty and honour for dollars.
