Smeda holds seminar on Olive Cultivation

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) in collaboration with "Corps of Volunteers, Abbottabad" arranged one-day training seminar on "Olive Cultivation and Marketing". The basic purpose of this session was to educate the farmers on different issues regarding Olive Cultivation and Its Marketing.
Colonel Khalid Mehmood (r), Co-ordinator-Corps of Volunteer, Abbottabad, in his welcome note thanked SMEDA for organising a training programme. Talking on the occasion, Muhammad Kamran Khan, Regional Business Co-ordinator, SMEDA Abbottabad, assured the support of SMEDA in delivering effective trainings to farmers' community on olive cultivation as and when required.
Dr Abdul Waheed Alvi, Executive District Officer, Agriculture Abbottabad, was Chief Guest on the occasion, who in his remarks appreciated the efforts of SMEDA, Corps of Volunteers and farmer community in developing the olive cultivation in district Abbottabad.
He assured the institutional support of Agriculture Department for the developmental initiatives of Olive and its cultivation. He stressed for holding such training programmes on regular basis for the socio-economic development of the region.
