Terrorism wiped out from Swat, says Iftikhar

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that the terrorism has been completely wiped out from the scenic valley of Swat owing to the proactive strategy of the government and sacrifices of ANP workers.
Addressing at public gathering here at Mingora, Swat on Monday, he said that the valley was a most peaceful region as compared to past two to three years. He maintained that people of Swat are feeling much secure and stable after restoration of lasting calm and normalcy in the area. Iftikhar said that ANP forefather and workers had rendered enormous sacrifices for the survival of Pakhtun's soil. He added the law enforcement agencies had played significant role for restoration of lasting peace in the scenic valley of Swat. "Our nation, political workers, law enforcement agencies had made history by rendering sacrifices for establishment of during and sustainable peace, he maintained.
He lamented that the media organisations were not giving proper coverage to ANP political rallies. He urged the media to give equal coverage to party rally as propagating other parties.
The minister assured that the Swat was much secured and stable place, where terrorism has completely purged off in the region. He said the government had dismantled the terrorist network and will foil any move of their reorganisation.
On the occasion, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Forest, Wajid Ali Khan, and Minister for Science & Technology, Mohammad Ayub Khan, and Sher Shah Khan also spoke. Dr Haider, ANP political activists, and workers were also present on the occasion.
