Dry weather likely today

The met office on Tuesday said mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. "Shallow westerly wave is affecting Northern areas of the country and likely to persist for next 24 to 36 hours," the office said in its weather summery of the day.
It says light rain with snowfall is expected over the hills in Malakand division Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. "Foggy/misty conditions are likely to prevail over some plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sukkur division," the forecaster says.
It recorded lowest temperature in Parachinar -9 degree centigrade, Kalam -8 degree centigrade, Astore and Skardu -7 degree centigrade each, Quetta and Gupis -6 degree centigrade each, Kalat -5 degree centigrade, Hunza and Bunji -4 degree centigrade each in the last 24 hours. Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country, the met office says.
Karachi's weather is expected to remain dry with maximum temperature between 9 degree centigrade and 11 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours, it said.
