Five killed in separate incidents of violence

At least four persons were killed in separate incidents of violence at various parts of the metropolis here on Friday. According to police sources, two persons were shot dead during armed scuffle at slum area of Bilal colony in the limits of Quaidabad police station.
The incident took place at slum area of Bilal Colony near Gul Ahmed Mills where two neighbours namely Sher Ali, 30, son of Aleem Khan and 32-year-old Samiullah, son of Bakht Rehman, opened fire on each other over domestic issue. Resultantly both received fatal bullet wounds and succumbed to their injuries during treatment at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). Later police handed over their bodies to the heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A drug peddler was gunned down at Hanif Gabol Goth in the limits of Sohrab Goth police station. The victim Mohammad Ali, 35, son of Arif a resident of Hanif Gabol Goth situated in Sohrab Goth was targeted when he was standing outside his home. He received two bullets and died on the spot. DSP Mukhtiar Khaskheli said victim was drug peddler and might have been murdered with his other accomplices. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities and later handed over to his family. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A bullet-riddled body of youth was found near Crown Cinema in the jurisdiction of Kalri police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained, while police found his body from Maripur Road near Crown Cinema. Police shifted the body to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for post-mortem. Police said the victim appeared to be in late twenties and was murdered after kidnap. Later, police moved his body to Edhi Morgue for identification. A case was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of state.
