Three-day 268th annual Urs celebrations of great mystic poet and saint Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai will commence with traditional enthusiasm, and reverence from January 9 at Bhitshah district Matiari. The historical Bhitshah town will be the host of tens of thousands devotees of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai from January 9 to 11.
The devotees will not only pay homage to great Sufi poet but also take part in different programmes to be organised by provincial government organisations. Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhoro will inaugurate the Urs celebrations while Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah will be the chief guest at concluding ceremony of the Urs. The Sindh Chief Minister will also present Latif Award to legends of Sindh in recognition of their excellent performances in different fields.
