Reception hosted in honour of Chinese official

A reception was hosted in honour of Dr Wang Jianzhong, Vice Director Zibo Municipal Foreign Affairs Office Zibo, Shandong, China at Hyderabad Chambers of Commerce and Industries (HCCI), here on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking on the occasion, the visiting guest said that collaborative and bilateral ties would be initiated between Zibo City, China and Hyderabad, adding that Zibo City would provide its expertise for setting-up of solar energy projects in Hyderabad.
Sindh University Vice Chancellor Dr Nazir A Mughal, a large number of industrialists, members of the HCCI, Sindh University academicians and scholars were also present on the occasion. Dr Wang briefed the audience about the Zibo City and said that the city was one of the important industrial city and said that only Zibo City's exports and imports with Pakistan had reached $63m
Dr Wang said the purpose of his visit was to promote higher education in the universities and strengthen the research and students and scholars exchange programmes besides forming sister city with local ones such as Hyderabad, jamshoro, Kotri and Mirpurkhas. Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Dr Nazir A Mughal also spoke on this occasion and said the role of universities had drastically changed, and they should play active role in the development of community.
Dr Mughal said the University of Sindh was ready to serve the industry and keen to know how it could help the industry. Acting President of HCCI Turab Ali Khoja thanked Dr Wang for his visit and said that his meeting with the members of HCCI would boost the export and import between the two countries. Khoja pointed out that Hyderabad was exporting goods worth more than 60 million US dollars to various countries of the world and added that there are vast opportunities to increase the trade volume between two friendly countries.
