Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday demanded that a national conference should be held in order to remove 'genuine concerns of Baloch people.' Addressing party workers here, he said the government should have called a national conference to resolve problems facing Baloch people but it (government) had not given any heed and "we are compelled to demand holding of such conference."
He reiterated that PML-N was committed to removing "sense of deprivation of Baloch brothers." Nawaz held former president Pervez Musharraf responsible for the current situation in Balochistan, saying the dictator should be given "an exemplary punishment." Nawaz, who is on two-day visit here, pledged that his party after coming into power would develop Gwadar seaport in Balochistan and bring the coastal city at par with Dubai.
