Fazl asks FPCCI to understand trade with India and its impact

Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Maulana Fazlur Rehman has asked of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to assist Kashmir committee to understand the issue of trade with India and its impact on Pakistan economy.
Speaking at a dinner hosted by Khalid Tawab and later taking to newsmen, he said that FPCCI should also brief about what will be the impact of giving Most Favored Nation (MFN) status to India on Pakistan economy and what are the possibilities of giving MFN status to India.
He said that next week the ministry of commerce will give a briefing on trade with India to Kashmir committee. He emphasis the need of holding free and fair general elections in the country and added that general electors are likely to be held in 2012. He said that efforts are being made to revive MMA. However, some of the religious parties creating hurdles in the way of its revival, he added. Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan said that Pakistan reached on dangerous edge. Corruption is rampant, economic graph of the country is moving nose down and institution are on the edge of fall down. He said poor are becoming poorer and they neither have food, shelter, health and education.
