14 Jan, 2012

A two-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC) adjourned till February 2 the hearing of a case in relation to a controversial press conference of Pakistan People's Party vice-president Babar Awan. The bench comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Muhammad Athar Saeed has been hearing the case. During the hearing, Awan pleaded for more time to hire a counsel.
Awan contended that he was seeking more time as he, as a parliamentarian, had some responsibilities to shoulder. He further said he would also submit his reply in the case through his counsel on the next date of hearing. Later, the bench adjourned hearing for further proceedings till February 2.
