Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday dispelled the impression of any confrontation between the state institutions as those were working within their domains. Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, he said all institutions did not want confrontation in any manner and added that present situation was just a reflection of transition to democracy. To a question, the Minister said the government would complete its tenure and current issues would be resolved in a week or so.
He said the government was committed to taking steps for further strengthening the democracy and during its tenure, it ensured several achievements including success in war on terror. He said difference of opinion was a democratic right of a person and the government allies had fully supported the efforts for continuity of the democratic process.
