The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday claimed to have arrested four agents in three separate raids at Nadra offices here. According to FIA officials, the raids, conducted by Anti Human Trafficking Cell of FIA, led to the arrest of four agents on charges of issuing fake Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) to Karachiites.
The team raided three Nadra offices located at Awami Markaz, Nazimabad and Korangi from where these agents were taken into custody. They said the detained agents have been identified as Sher Dil Badshah, Tajuddin Moosani, Mujahid Hussain and Idrees Ahmed. They said action was taken following complaints that such illicit activity is being carried out in these Nadra offices. They added that more than 2500 fake receipts have also been recovered from their possession. Further investigation was under way.
