Security plan for Chehlum chalked-out

Police have prepared a security plan for the processions and majalis of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). A police statement said, here on Friday, that under the plan, process of surveillance would be ensured through co-ordination among the law enforcement agencies.
Inspector General of Police Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, directed that the participants of the processions and majalis should be provided security along-with protection of lives and properties of people. He also instructed that briefing of those deployed for security should also be arranged.
Under the plan, there are different security sectors and each one is looked after by an officer of the rank of superintendent of police. Surveillance around Nishter Park would be through watchtowers and there will be rooftop deployment on 200 select high-rise buildings along the route of Chehlum procession. Deployment of plainclothes policemen would also be ensured.
