Token strike at Pims, FGPC continues

Medical and non-medical staff of hospitals functioning in the federal capital on Friday continued their two-hour daily token strike to press the authorities for acceptance of their demands. The staff of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, raising slogans and carrying placards in support of their demands, gathered in front of administration block of the hospital Friday. They asked the administration to resolve their problems.
Addressing the protesters, Chairman Joint Action Committee of medical and non-medical staff, Syed Manzar Abbas Naqvi said that they will continue token strike till acceptance of their demands. He said that on assurance of the government high ups, they are holding token strike instead of whole day strike at the hospitals. He asked to revise new service structure and early implementation of Basic Pay Scale System in the federal government hospitals. He said that the ongoing strike is symbolic of their demands.
