The provincial metropolis on Saturday witnessed a second spell of winter rain, which is expected to continue during Sunday (today). According to the met office, the city received very low intensity rain at scattered places in the evening and in the next 24 hours there are chances of widespread thunderstorm/rain. The maximum temperature recorded was 17.1 Celsius degrees and the minimum temperature was 2.5 Celsius degrees.
Meanwhile, other parts of the country also received rain, including Parachinar, Zhob and Bahawalpur five mm (each), Samungli and Bahawalpur four mm (each), Kohat and Multan three mm (each), D.G Khan two mm, Bannu, Mianwali, Bhakkar and Shorkot 1mm (each), and Islamabad, Lasbela, Jhelum, D. I. Khan, Chakwal, T. T. Singh, Sahiwal and Sargodha trace (each). In its forecast, the met said mainly dry and cold weather is expected over most parts of the country.
