'Chehlum' observed amid tight security arrangements

The 'Chehlum' Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) was observed in the provincial metropolis amid tight security arrangements. Mourner processions took out in different cities, towns, and other areas, including southern districts of the province, which were passing through designated routes and ended peacefully.
'All routes heading toward the mourners processions sealed off by putting barbed wires and iron rod, and other precautionary measures were placed to avert any untoward incident on the occasion. The bazaars, markets and shopping malls were remained shut down during the Chehlum processions. The sensitive buildings, hotels and restaurants were evacuated at all main routes, where the processions were taken out under the massive security plan.
The day marked to commemorate the supreme sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his 72 companions at Karbala to uphold the truth. Aziyiya, Alam and Zuljinah processions were taken out at different parts of the province under the massive security arrangements.
The mourners including women and children gathered in Imambargahs in a significant number later took out Zuljinah. The participants paid tribute to the martyrs of Karbala by reciting Marsia and Noha.
The complete ban was put on entry of any kind of vehicle on procession routes, and toward Imam Bargahs in the city and cantonment areas. The security was remained high alert. Security personnels' were issued special cards deployed on mourner procession routes. The central Zuljinah and Tahziya procession was taken out in the city and sadder Peshawar.
Rescue 1122 teams were deployed to deal with any emergency situation. Paramedics from local hospitals as well as ambulances of Edhi foundation accompanied by processions to provide first Aid, while those suffering deep wounds in the self-flagellation were shifted to hospital.
Under the security plan, the police backed of Para-military forces covered entire procession routes in sensitive districts by the protective gadgets, like armour vehicles, sophisticated weapons, and metal detectors.
Later, the Shiitee Ulema and scholars during Majalas highlighted the significant of the Ashura and paid rich tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions for sacrifices to remain live Islam forever.
