Fake army officer among two notorious criminals held

Sindh Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two notorious criminals including a fake military officer in separate raids at various parts of the metropolis here. According to SP, Ghulam Subhan, a team of Anti Violent Crime Cell on a tip-off conducted raid at Malir Cantt and arrested Maqsood Shah with a car (ANY-780), 'Baby Kalashnikov' and several rounds.
He said the accused person, who was director at a private hospital, pretended to be army officer. The AVCC team has also recovered uniforms of brigadier and general from his possession. He said the detained person, who was arrested on public complaint lodged at AVCC complaint cell, has also allotted plots from high Sindh government officials. A case into the incident has been registered and further investigation in this regard is underway.
Meanwhile, Crime Branch also claimed to have arrested a notorious criminal, namely, Nasir alias 'straight fire', and recovered one Kalashnikov, one TT pistol and rounds from him. The official in CB-1 said the accused was involved in over 30 heinous crimes and cases in this regard have been registered at Pakistan Bazar and Orangi Town police remits. He said that during initial course of investigation, the detained person confessed to have involved in immense number of robbery bids, encounters, kidnapping, attempt to murders and other cases. Further investigation into the case is in process.
