Interactive seminar for taxpayers held

Facilitation and Taxpayers Education (FATE) Wing of FBR arranged taxpayers' interaction seminar at Regional Tax Office, here Friday. The seminar was arranged in co-ordination with RTO here, as part of a series of seminars currently being arranged under 'Taxpayers Awareness Initiative'.
During the event, detailed presentations were made on the working of FATE Wing, "Documentation of Economy & Tax Evasion" and "e-services for Taxpayers" followed by a detailed questions and answers session. During this session, the participants raised queries about the topics covered in the presentation. FBR officials on the occasion addressed those concerns and noted down suggestions for further perusal.
The participants appreciated the initiative of the interaction and awareness and facilitation undertaken by the FATE Wing, saying this should be made a regular feature. Chief Commissioner RTO, Misri Ladhani, thanked the participants for attending the seminar and making it a success. He also appreciated efforts of FBR officials for arranging the event and thanked the wing for providing an avenue for interaction between the taxpayers and the board.
Additional Commissioner, Farooque Azam Memon and DC (HQ), Peer Khalid also addressed the seminar. The seminar was attended by members of Hyderabad Tax Bar Association, Central Sindh Tax bar, representatives of major withholding agents, Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Thatta; Sindh-Balochistan Rice Millers Association, representatives of Pakistan Tax Bar Association and FBR officials.-PR
