Won rises

The South Korean won edged up early on Friday after successful bond auctions in Europe offset worries over funding costs in the region and positive earnings reports from US banks boosted Wall Street. The local currency was quoted at 1,134.0 against the dollar at 0025 GMT, compared with Thursday's close of 1,137.1. The March contract on three-year treasury futures slid as risk appetite improved, shaving 0.06 points to 104.39.
